Hi.
I didn’t know where to put this on your blog, as its not related to any one particular post. So I guess for now I’ll leave it here:
Thank you so much for writing a blog about your experiences living in Daejeon! My boyfriend wants me to choose Daejeon (because that’s where he will go to university) when I move over next year (I’m an EFL teacher too). But up until I found your blog, I couldn’t find any real information about living in the city. The little I did seemed to be focused on how American males keep striking out at the local clubs and bars…
I was wondering – did you teach at a public school or a hagwon? And what recruitment agency did you go with? It sounds like you really enjoyed working at your first school, and I’d love to know more about which school that was. Any school reviews that consist of more than accusations of mismanagement and illegal activities are an extremely refreshing change.
Also, I’ll be in Daejeon next week to do some sightseeing for a couple of days. Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Issy
P.S. Feel free to email me, I’d love to know more about your experiences both living in Daejeon, and teaching!
